YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

This privacy statement is an Australian legal requirement.

Bookhome only collects your personal information to provide a service to you. This personal information remains confidential, and at no time will be sold, traded or disclosed to other persons or companies for their independent use. We do not install cookies on your computer.

We collect the following personal details (name, address, phone, email address, purchase history) for the following reasons: to fulfill an order or enquiry for our books; to contact you if we locate a book from your want list; or to notify you of recently acquired stock, book sales, or changes to our business. Your personal details are stored in a secure offline location.

YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS

When you send us credit card details, you can do so via a secure sever. We never store your card details in a computer or online database. We destroy them shortly after a sale is complete. If you order one of our books via Abebooks, Alibris, BibliOz and Biblio, these companies automatically process your payment (without human intervention), and we do not see your card details. If you order a book via our own website (Bookhome), or via other book websites, your card details are passed securely to us for processing.

DISCLAIMER

Most books listed on our website are available in our shop. However, a few may have been recently sold, and not yet deleted. As is common for secondhand bookdealers, we generally only keep in stock one copy of each book, except for a few frequent sellers. We are not responsible for the content of our books; please enquire before purchase.

We also sell a few print-on-demand (POD) books: these are out-of-print books that are specially printed when a customer requests a copy. Unlike most booksellers, we aim to keep at least one copy of each such title in stock at all times (that is, you do NOT have to wait six weeks for delivery).
